Studio Tegelaars is a boutique interior design studio based in Tunbridge Wells, working across Kent and London. I specialise in high-end residential design for clients who understand the impact their surroundings have on how they feel and live day to day.

With over a decade of international experience across Argentina and the UK, including at an award-winning London studio, my work is grounded in a deep understanding of how people experience their spaces in everyday life. For me, great design isn’t just about how a home looks, but how it feels to move through, to settle into and to live with over time.

I’ve always been drawn to how environments make us feel. Design has never been about surface beauty alone, but about atmosphere, emotion and the quiet confidence that comes from living in spaces that truly reflect who you are. My work blends warmth, depth and character, often pairing considered contemporary design with unexpected touches - a statement 70s armchair or a well-placed antique - to create homes that feel personal rather than prescribed.

Behind every project is a rigorous attention to detail, from spatial planning and joinery to lighting and materiality. I enjoy resolving the technical challenges so that the result feels intuitive, effortless and deeply lived-in.

I work with clients who don’t need to be convinced that their surroundings affect how they feel, they already know. My role is to translate that instinct into a coherent, carefully considered home that supports the way they live. It is not about a refresh, but a thoughtfully reimagined home that feels calm, considered and entirely their own.
