Shepherd’s Bush

This Shepherd’s Bush living room in West London was transformed from a large but characterless grey space into a layered, lived-in home designed around how the clients wanted to use it day to day. Although generous in size, the original open layout lacked definition, making it difficult to create comfortable, functional zones.

The brief was to introduce a sense of separation and atmosphere, creating two distinct yet connected spaces: a cosy, inviting living room for entertaining and a more relaxed TV area that felt intimate, functional and fresh. To achieve this, we reintroduced the nib of a partition wall to subtly define the two rooms, alongside bespoke joinery to anchor the TV space and improve both storage and comfort. Layered fabrics and textured finishes bring richness and warmth throughout, while carefully incorporating the clients’ own beautiful existing pieces ensures the final result feels personal, cohesive and deeply lived-in.
